Amber B.'s Experience

I have always been surrounded by pets, particularly cats and dogs. My experience includes volunteering at the Sonoma County Animal Shelter and working in both an emergency vet clinic and a regular vet clinic, where I honed my pet first aid skills and gained valuable training experience with various breeds. I have owned lots of pets over my 43 years on this planet, mostly dogs and cats. However growing up we did have a parrot and several cockatiels, also rabbits. I have also maintained fresh water fish tanks. I don't have experience with reptiles or small animals like rats, mice, or ferrets. But I am willing to learn.

What is your pets personality? Are they high energy and love to play or more of a cuddle bug? Do they have any allergies or medical issues I need to be aware of? Do they have any medicine that needs to be given? Do they require walks while you are away? If so how are they on a leash? What commands do they know? How are they with other animals? My questions vary depending on this situation. I will do my very best to take care of them and love them like you do. I love listening to pet stories, so there is no such thing as too much info when it come to taking care of someone else's fur babies.

A typical day

I normally wake up around 6am sometimes earlier and let one of my dogs out on her tie out. She is usually only outside about 30 minutes and then wants to come in for breakfast. After breakfast we usually play for about an hour. Then I normally do some house work. I work as a life insurance agent and normally start that between noon and one, I do all my appointments via Zoom and work until 8pm. I do this job remotely, so as long as I can access the internet I don't have anything that would require me to leave while I am pet sitting. My husband would be able to take care of our pets while I am away.
