Amy O.'s Experience

I am am experienced pet owner and sitter, with a passion for being responsive to animals' communication and emotions. I love to help the fur babies feel safe, respected, and happy! We've had our wonderful dog Edgar since 2021. A rescue with a history of severe neglect, Edgar needed lots of love and tenderness to warm up and feel frisky and safe. It's been a joy helping him come out of his shell. A foster sister (who we fostered through Second Chance for several weeks before she found her forever home) helped him with that! Now we are doing long-term care for a five-year old beloved grump, Cat, and we recently brought two new rescue kittens into our family! We adore our fur friends and family, and as a family we operate toward animals from a position of gentleness, responsiveness, and respect! We have loved pet-sitting for different friends' dogs and cats, both in our home and at their own. I have experience with medications and am happy to administer meds if needed. I'm attentive to detail in instructions about pets' schedules and preferences, working to help them have a special and happy experience while their favorite people are away!

A typical day

We are a high school teacher, a Parks program director, and our two high school ages kids still at home! We're generally out working between 8 and noon on weekdays, and at home some in the afternoons. We love our pup, two kittens, and one long-term foster cat!
