Kay B.'s Experience

Over 25 years, our home was filled with five dogs and two cats — each one deeply loved, right to the very end. After recently saying goodbye to the last of them, we found ourselves with a quiet house, a big fenced yard, and a lot of love left to give. We are not new to pets — we are new to Sittsy. We've navigated puppyhood, senior care, medications, mobility challenges, and everything in between. If your dog has special needs, we don't just accommodate that — we genuinely thrive in that role. A few things that matter to us (and we think will matter to you): • Small dogs only — we believe your small dog deserves to be with other small dogs, not overwhelmed by larger ones. • Chemical-free lawn — our yard is completely free of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers. • Fully fenced, secure yard — safe off-leash play, always supervised. • Dog-proofed home — no hazards, no strangers, just calm and comfort. Our home is set up for small dogs to feel completely at home — ramps and stairs to the sofa and bed so no one has to jump, cozy dog beds throughout, and a collection of safe toys to keep things fun. If your dog is used to sleeping on the furniture, they're welcome to here too. We have deep, firsthand experience with palliative and end-of-life care. Over the years we walked alongside several of our own pets through their final chapters — managing pain medications, mobility support, appetite challenges, and the emotional weight that comes with it. If your dog is in their senior years or facing a serious diagnosis, you don't need to worry about finding someone who "can handle it." We've lived it. We will love and care for your dog with the same tenderness and attention we gave our own, every single day. Your dog will sleep in our home, never in a crate or kennel, and will be treated exactly as we treated our own — because that's the only way we know how to do it.
