Grew up with cats, dogs, and fish (fresh water). Tamed some of the feral stray cats when I was younger. I would also defend the stray kittens from mean neighborhood dogs. I would get to know the neighbors dogs and would take them home when they would escape their yard or let the neighbors know that their dog(s) escaped the yard.
