With growing up around animals, to working personally with house training/walking/caring for pets of family & friends, I want to lengthen these skills into certification training with KPA CTP, & CPDT-KA. This includes positive reinforcement/basic obedience skills. I plan to expand into service work as well. Currently a college student working on these certifications /skills actively with proper funding & time management. Please contact if you’re interested/willing to allow me to practice those skills further! I am not fully versed in pet first aid or senior care, but have minimal expertise in medication administration. I am willing to learn new skills under the advisement/guidance of the owner(s). ⚠️NOTE⚠️ ♿️Ambulatory Wheelchair User♿️ (Manual) This does not require house or location to be accessible, but upfront costs for booking may increase to meet transportation & accessibility requirements. ⚠️NOTE⚠️ I am capable of physically handling animals despite chronic conditions, but may need owner assistance in socializing animals to wheelchairs if not already, as some are fearful I recognize and I want to respect your animal companion. My disability limits general mobility endurance NOT dexterity or strength, and can handle leash pulling, grooming, or larger animals as a whole with proper introduction by the owner & established relationship and practice with the animal. ⚠️BEFORE BOOKING⚠️ Please provide comprehensive and detailed info on you and your pets. ❗️BEFORE BOOKING/ACTIVE APPOINTMENT❗️: Include specific notes or instructions regarding your animals. This helps me prepare my resources to accommodate needs of the owner, pet, & myself alike: -care preferences & rules (locations allowed/not permitted by animal AND sitter, positive/negative reinforcement guidelines for animals, wanted or unwanted care from sitter, house rules & regulations, where things are accessible to the sitter, etc..) -training, behavior, & overall temperament (be sure to include history of past behavior if relevant e.g. “previously reactive towards food but worked on it through this training and these skills” -engagement & entertainment routines (toys, outside time, parks, activities, etc.) -maintenance care & grooming (nail trimming, hair brushing & bathing + drying) -routines or habits to keep up with or provide assistance (obedience training, house training, potty training , etc.) -commands or skills to use during care (“sit”, “stay”, “down”, etc.) -regular or ongoing care needs (e.g., “make sure dog is fed twice, once in the morning, once at night, and taken out to potty 4 times a day”) -concerns & updates (medical health, changes in social behavior, events that have impacted the wellbeing of animals to notice or watch out for, or include anything that may be additionally helpful in overall care) -Your emergency contact info along with Veterinary Services if needed. Please provide a printed sheet of paper to refer to during care with requested listed items, or email if easier & preferred. 🧑‍🏫I'm a college student and my schedule is limited due to this, but can work schedules out with owners. Mostly evening bookings are preferred, after my classes, and is when I have free time to dedicate to pet care, walks and playtime, and any other pet or owner needs.
