Heather P.
I have over 20 years of experience working with pets of all ages, breeds, and temperaments. I also spent 5 years working with the ASPCA, where I gained hands-on experience handling a wide range of animal behaviors and care needs. I am comfortable administering medication and providing basic first aid when needed. My experience has taught me how to read animal behavior closely and respond calmly and appropriately in any situation, ensuring pets are always safe and well cared for. I have been a sitter on Rover for 4 years, and have had many wonderful clients both human and pet 🥰 My rover profile https://www.rover.com/sit/heathe51967 for quick reference.
Before booking, I like to learn a few important details to make sure I provide the best care possible. Please let me know your pet’s routine, feeding schedule, energy level, and any medical needs or medications. The more I know, the better I can care for them! 😊😊 I also like to know about their temperament- how they do with new people, other animals, and if they have any anxieties or triggers. Any preferences, quirks, or special instructions are always appreciated so I can make their time as comfortable and stress-free as possible 😊
A typical day with me is all about keeping your pet comfortable, safe, and happy in their own routine. I start by making sure they’re settled and relaxed, whether that means a potty break, a walk, or just some quiet time together. Throughout the day, I give plenty of attention...playtime, walks, feeding, and lots of affection...while sticking closely to the schedule you provide. I also keep an eye on their behavior and well-being to make sure everything feels normal and stress-free for them. You can expect regular updates and photos, so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is for your pet to feel like they’re spending the day with a friend, not missing you.
See photos, care updates, and activity as your sitter shares them. Follow walks live with GPS and see when visits start and finish.
This sitter has no pets of their own, so your pet won’t have to share food, toys, or attention with the sitter’s animals.
Heather took wonderful care of our cat, Cheddar, and her doggie brother, Ziggy. They’re very bonded and don’t like being separated, so it was important to us that they stayed together and comfortable. She handled everything perfectly, including administering their daily medications, and made sure they both felt safe and cared for. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such capable hands. We would absolutely trust her again!
Heather was amazing with our rescue dog, Lola. She’s very fearful, especially around men, so we’re always cautious about who we leave her with. Heather was incredibly patient and understanding, and by the end of the stay, Lola had not only relaxed but actually adored her husband—which we never expected. That meant so much to us. We’re beyond grateful and would trust her again without hesitation.
Heather did a wonderful job caring for our puppy, Toby. He was still working on his potty training and had a few accidents, but she was incredibly patient and understanding throughout the process. She helped reinforce a better routine and was so caring with him. We could really see improvement, and it meant a lot to know he was with someone who truly understood how to work with puppies. We’d absolutely trust her again!
