A peek into my approach: For cats, I try to appeal to their curiosity or sense of play and let them come to me. When they feel comfortable enough to sniff and give a nose boop, I know they’re ok. For most dogs, I begin and end our time with keeping them calm and giving pets. During walks, I take high energy dogs up to 2 miles per hour. With enough time, boundaries, love, and the occasional treat most animals are very happy with me. :)

A typical day

I grew up in the countryside of California, surrounded by animals and from just 6 years old, I wanted to be a veterinarian. My family owned farm animals like goats and chickens, and often had multiple pets (dogs, cats, fish, birds). I also took care of pets in my community, rode horses, and helped a family in my community train their horses for offtrail riding and hunting. When I started freelancing in 2021 I had a side hustle - 24/7 pet sitting (in my client’s homes) at a vacation pet sitting business. I took care of dozens of different animals. I even got to care for some african tortoises! I have cared for over 100 pets and never had any troubles, the worst that’s happened is either a puppy peeing on a sofa or getting bucked off a horse. 😂😭🙏 I moved to SF in spring 2025 and I currently freelance / work with small startups.
