I grew up caring for an Australian Cattle Dog for 15 years, which gave me a strong foundation in long-term pet responsibility. As an adult, I had two cats — a Manx with chronic GI issues who lived to 16, and another who lived to 18 — so I'm comfortable managing pets with health conditions and special needs. I currently have two cats of my own: a 6-year-old rescued male with dental issues and a 3-year-old female with juvenile gingivitis, giving me hands-on experience managing cats with ongoing medical conditions. Over the years I've cared for a wide variety of pets for friends and family. This includes a German Shepherd and a Pitbull, a Black Lab, and a bearded dragon, so I'm comfortable with different breeds and species. I've house-sat and done drop-in visits, handled walks, playtime, feeding, and litter box maintenance. I also regularly care for my best friend's cat when she travels, which includes administering her daily Prozac medication, providing extended companionship visits, and ensuring fresh food, water, and a clean litter box. I previously cared for another friend's cat the same way, including administering her daily medication. I also looked after my parents' elderly cat for three months when they go to Florida. I'm comfortable with dogs and cats of all ages and breeds, exotic pets, rescues, seniors, and pets with medical or dietary needs. I take every animal's routine and health seriously." With the bearded dragon experience, I'd definitely add Multiple breeds if not already selected — it shows you're adaptable beyond just cats and dogs.

A typical day

My mornings start early, so I'm able to stop in before work to feed, walk, or check on your pet before 8am. After my workday ends at 4:30pm I'm available for evening visits, walks, playtime, and feeding. On weekends I have a fully open schedule and can provide extended stays, multiple visits, or overnight care. I always make sure pets are comfortable, loved, and on their normal routine. Your pet's needs come first and I'll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout every visit!
